Action Research Wk 3

When creating this plan, I found that I really had a hard time choosing how to frame the question. Once I finally chose this, I went to work. At one point I found that I had made the plan too detailed. I believe that I was trying to control the action and wasn't leaving room for the learning/inquiry to take place with all that needed to be involved. Below is what became of my final plan. I am sure there will be many revision throughout the year, but hopefully, we will get the desired results of increased student achievement by making this involvement a reality.

  1. Lisa, great plan. I too am focusing on parental and community involvement in my school. I liked how you involved all stakeholders in the research plan. I believe it is very important for all members of the learning community to be involved in such action plan. Nothing is better than working as a team to solve a common struggle. Good job.

  2. Lisa, nice work. I think the task of researching parent involvement will help to make parents more aware of just how their participation can impact student achievement. When you go in and revise you may find that you will need more time in getting faculty group to understand action research and learning communities unless they are used to being effective in these types of activities already.

  3. Lisa, your plan looks great. Very well thought out. You and I are doing something very similar. Too bad we don't work for the same district. We could really make a difference together.
